Haircut and Styles: Trends for a Fabulous Fall

Retro styles are doing it again. Old Hollywood Glam is showing up on the runways complimenting hair with fashion. This Includes teased tresses and 30's inspired waves.

Exaggerated parts or a fringe bang gives your old look a little something new;  while long locks or blunt bobs can overhaul your entire look. Extensions can hasten the waiting process of acquiring this look. And for fall short looks a pixied crop with long fringe pieces adds a little bit of rock to your do.

Natural easy looks are always a great look for the fall. To help achieve these looks flat ironing is an easy option while a much healthier alternative is having the Brazilian blow out or keratin process which helps styling these coifs in a cinch.
Alternately big teased hair is always an option if you a "bigger is better" kinda girl.
Adding the perfect hairstyle to  the warm colors of the fall will complete your look for Fall 2010.

Decadent, Creamy, Candy Coated...

No, we're not talking about desert ladies! We're talking about the new Fall trends in hair color. With decadent, chocolatey brunettes, creamy caramel blondes and reds so rich and vibrant, like your favorite candy coating, it's time to trade in your your worn out summer color for some luscious, luxurious locks!
Although summer was fun, that summer fun, salt water and chlorine has probably taken it's toll on your hair leaving you with tired looking tresses. So, just as we trade in our bikinis for our favorite fall boots its also time for our hair to get a little TLC.
Hydrating and reconstructing treatments will ensure lasting color and shine, like your favorite accessory.

Gemmette's Kick Off to Breast Cancer Awareness Month

We are very excited to share our first blog post, knowing that it is dedicated to such an important cause.  There are many ways to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer so we were elated when sponsors like Wacoal, LA Fitness, The Comfort Diner,  Casa Espana, Tuscan Sun Grill, La Bella Tans, Metro Ink and The Bake Shoppe were as motivated as we were to help kick off our fund raising efforts for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.

With their collaboration, we have organized raffles, giveaways and gift baskets for our guest and anyone who wants to help our incentive. No matter how you give, every bit helps support the Komen global mission of ending breast cancer.

On Saturday, September 18th, 2010 Gemmette Hair Studio was in full arrays of pink. Wacoal properly fitted women from their beautiful bra collection and The Bake Shoppe treated our guest with the yummiest cup cakes.  In essence, it was a vibrant environment filled with energy and hope for a cure against this disease that has affected so many of us.

If you couldn't make it to our first event, you can still come by our studio. Raffle tickets continue to be available for sale until the end of October.
